Government:
Mexico has a federal government. Mexico is a democratic republic that has democratically elected representatives. Mexico also has a directly elected president. Currently, Mexico's president is Felipe Calderón, and he was elected in 2006.
Currency:
Their currency is made up of Pesos.The peso is the twelve most traded form of money in the world. Over time there have been very many different kinds of pesos. The first peso was worth one hundredth of the current form of peso, and was invented in 1863. The second peso was invented in 1993, and today there are about thirteen pesos per a U.S dollar.
When was The Nation Founded:
Mexico was founded in 1325 by the Aztecs or Nagua tribe (no one knows which tribe out of the two actually founded Mexico)

Mexico's history is long and complicated. Mexico has had seven wars (the war of independence in 1810, the Texas Revolution in 1835, the reform wars in 1855, the pastry war in 1838, and the Cistero war in 1926). Mexico also participated in world war 2, but it wasn't them exclusively. Mexico also had a major earthquake in 1985. Of course, Mexico has had many more events in it's history, but the ones shown here are some of the most known.
